Every summer is the same. I think I will have more time with Joanna not in school and the routine a bit more relaxed for mini's and other things. But as you see above, summer is hay season on our small farm. I am in the John Deere farthest away square baling while DH is on the John Deere nearest raking. And this week, I am working daily during our annual Carolina Shop Hop at the quilt shop. So I have hardly had time to even check in with everyone or update my blog and just got my holiday swap items in the mail to Alicia for Cockerina's holiday swap today.
But, Joanna and I recently received some fabulous shabby chic swap items from Mercedes (while she patiently waits for me to get around to reciprocating!). Mercedes, thank you and our items are almost ready to send your way. I am having to protect the candy we bought for Liberty from my oldest two, Maggie and Ben!

Make hay while the sun shines and minis when it gets cloudy. Just so there is time for both! Love the photo of you and DH on the John Deeres Reminds me of when I was a kid in Michigan. Love all of the trades!

Jody- do you know one of my favorite sights in the entire world is when my neighbor bales his hay? I LOVE it! Love that you posted a picture of you and your hubby working on baling the hay! I feel for you though- summer is hard work time for the farmer- you must drop into bed and fall asleep instantly at the end of the day! I love your swap items- had to enlarge the coffee table and study it- I think I would be near tears too- what a special and personal gift Mercedes has made for you! Very sweet ♥
What a lovely area to live in! I'm finding it very hard to get anything done with the kids home for the summer! Mercedes does such wonderful things. You are a lucky lady!
