Another Mini Sewing Shadow Box and an ElkPainted my cupboard with gesso this morning. I'm making another sewing shadow box to sell. Ordered some items from Paper Mini's and from Manor House Miniatures that will go in the box. My friend, Gen, bought the first one I made.
This really bad pix is of the elk I tried to paint. I've got some improvements to make.
This is with flash but shows the colors better. Feedback??????

Stop being negative, comments like: "This really bad pix is of the elk I tried to paint" doesnt do you any favours! It is actually a very good picture and should be shown off as such! so there! ner ner ner ner!

Jody, we are always most critical of our own work. Your elk turned out great. *sigh* I'm still very much in love with your fox picture. If you start selling them, do you know what you will ask for them?

Hi Jody, my name is Cherie. First your mini painting is wonderful! I do think you need to give "feet" to your trees...they look like they are "floating" on the grass. try makeing some darker/lighter strokes around each tree (do a pratice one first see how that looks)maybe a blade of grass up the side of a tree here and there. I have learned thru my art school, it is at times the little things that may make a difference when we are critquing our own work. Best of luck you you~ ps I really loved your bird and roster painings!!
